This weekend was all about wine and champagne. Hungary is famous for its quality wine, my small country embraces 22 different wine regions. The unique climate, the diversity of the soil let us produce wine with different style. Now here is your chance to really get to know the Hungarian wine culture and the regions. Every year the Budapest Wine Festival takes place in the Castle District. You can buy daily ticket, which allows you to enter the festival and you will receive a wine glass. You can ask for a sample of wine at each stand, prices may vary. Panoramic view, over 200 wine stands, impressive location – that's what you can expect. The festival itself is very well organized, there are stands where you can get fresh glass. Food venues are limited to processed food, mainly sausages, cheese plates, small bites. It's not about the gastronomy, it's more about tasting quality Hungarian wine. Champagne and sparkling wine is very popular in Hungary nowadays, my absolute favorite one is Kreinbacher Brut. I love the atmosphere of the place, Castle District has such great vibes, grab a glass and enjoy your time! Hope to see you there next year!
