Let me share with you my first experience with color analysis, where a professional stylist, Judit Ferencz (http://stylexpert.hu) helped me to find my matching colors. I never thought it would make such a difference in your style, knowing what suits you is weapon in your hand. Wardrobe planning is so much easier now, your colors will make you shine. I was sitting on a chair in front of a mirror, while Judit tried different colors on me, matching my hair, skin and eye tones. It was a great experience, I learned that light turquoise, coral, deep blue are the best for me. I never thought that rose gold can be my color, but we proved that it definitely is. All in all it was really useful for me. If you are not sure what suits you the best, ask for help and change your wardrobe accordingly. If you are interested in hiking, it’s highly recommended to discover the Bükk blue trails in the Northern part of Hungary. In the frame of a blue trail you can discover the beauties of the Bükk hills. You can start in Eger and reach Miskolc as the final destination, it’s a 71 km long trail, in the meantime you can stop at such charming places like Bükkszentkereszt, where you can find accommodation and restaurant as well. In case you only have one day for hiking, discover Lillafüred, take the forestry railway and visit the most beautiful sights of the Bükk. It’s a great program even for families. My friend, Anna, was in an urgent need of summer dress and accessories, I suggested her checking out the latest collection of Desigual. This Spanish fashion brand is notable for its unique design, splash of colors and high quality. Look what we loved the most in the summer collection! She was trying on dresses first, we chose two white ones, my favorite is the one with the flower details, easy wear for a hot summer day. This white shirt combined with the skirt is really trendy, the golden sandals complete the look. This summer I'm in love with jeans and blue. Look at these two dresses and how about jeans with white shirt and an outstanding necklace? Simple and you are ready to go. Desigual is a great choice if you would like to update your look with some trendy, colorful pieces. We loved these bags and shoes. Every season they offer a wide selection of accessories, bracelets, necklaces, earrings. If you are looking for bikinis, choose from these fun pieces! Thank you, Desigual Budapest to let us make a few shots at your store! Keep up the good work! This wedding on Saturday was so inspirational, I decided to share with you some tipical wedding customs of my country. Today Hungarian weddings are more like the USA weddings, brides wear white dress. However the traditional bridal dress was colorful and embroidered with flower motif, like woven wheat was the symbol of fertility. In the past the entire village escorted the bride from her home to the groom's home, today an elegant reception is organized where the guests are greeted by the young couple. In Hungary the civil ceremony takes place in the courthouse and it's followed by the church ceremony, which is optional. In the northern part of the county there are some beautiful roman style churches like this one in Zubogy. It was build in the middle ages, however it got burned during the past and some gothic elements joined the look. The church is stunning with all these painted wooden decoration, gothic style windows and romantic park. I was happy to visit this church in the frame of the wedding ceremony. The wedding reception is typically an endless party with a lot of traditional food, including chicken soup, fried meat and vegetables. Stuffed cabbage is often served at night as a "midnight breakfast". According to the customs the new bride has to dance a "money dance" or ""bridal dance", we call it "Menyecske tánc". Each guest has to pay to dance with the bride, normally they drop money into a huge bowl, which is supervised by the Godmother. The bride is dancing in a traditional, red folk outfit. Source: www.oltarelott.hu When the groom thinks that the bride was dancing enough, he takes the bowl and they run away together. According to the traditions, while the just married couple is running away, the guests try to steal her shoes. Those guests who have successfully stolen the bride's shoes are given the right to create some difficult tests or challenges for the couple. If they will complete those challenges successfully, the bride will get her shoes back. This game is often part of the Hungarian weddings even today.
If you have any odd or funny wedding customs in your home country, share it with me! XOXO |
