My travel basics How to start? I organise my travel all by myself, you more likely receive, what you expected if you do so. Low cost airlines are great, I usually check them all and also choose the accommodation via Booking (www.booking.com) or Airbnb (www.airbnb.com). Great things about these 2 systems are that you can browse many photos and read personal reviews, that might help you to decide which one to pick. Airbnb allows you to have a deep look at people' life in your destination. On this site local people advertise their homes (boats, little studios, castles, apartments, all type of accomodations), you can rent one room or an entire home, depends on you and your needs. Honestly we love great hotels and private beaches, but discovering a country from a more personal point of view is always the best experience, you can ever wish for. All routs and trips will be organized from Budapest, as the center of Europe, but on the low cost airlines' homepages you can easily see your opportunities from all around the world. For flights check www.momondo.com, for us it works out the best as a searching engine. Destination of the month The sea always inspires me, one of my favorite islands in Europe is Capri, this hidden treasure will be our destination of the month. How to get there cheap from Budapest? Flying with Wizzair (https://wizzair.com) to Naples is a good idea, if you book a few months in advance, you can get a return ticket under 90 EUR/person. Wizzair recently changed its policies on baggage allowance, always read the homepage before booking, but if you travel light, you might fit in a small handbag. Naples is an amazing city itself, but let's concentrate on our destination now, from Naples many ferries are departing to Capri, please find the ferry schedule: http://www.capri.net/en/ferry-schedule Do not bring your car to Capri, it's a really small island, you can walk around or rent a moped there. Sightseeing
If you walk to the other side, you can have a nice view of Via Krupp and Marina Piccolo from here. The pathway is currently closed due to the danger of falling rocks. Boat trips

Lemon Limonchello di Capri | Let’s not forget that Capri is famous for the Limoncello. It is made from the island’s organically growned lemons. The world famous Limoncello di Capri is worth tasting. The history of the liquor goes back to the 19th century. I tried this brand and I absolutely loved it, check their homepage, you can even find great recipes for limoncello cocktails there: http://www.limoncello.com/en/the-limoncello Restaurant: During our 1 day stay we picked Ristorante Il Geranio. It’s close to Augustus garden and from your table you have a breathtaking view of the Faraglioni. The food was great and nicely served, the menu is inspired by Mediterranean gastronomic traditions. I highly recommend it! |
