My kind of Paris

Join me for a weekend in Paris! I'm showing you the best local places and districts that are loved by the Parisians, moods and moments from this wonderful city. Let's start to explore!

The glitz of Paris

I used to live in Brussels many years ago and since it's not far from Paris, I visited this lovely city whenever I could. Every time I'm here, I always go to the Eiffel tower, sit on the grass, read a book and just chill. You can also have a great view of the tower from Trocadero metro station. Dreamy place!

Place Vendome and Champs Elyseés are the ultimate aristocratic places in Paris, that scream luxury: imposing palace-like buildings, designer shops, welcoming atmosphere. When in Paris, I drop by my favorite Sephora shop at Champs Elyseés. The store is huge, you won't be able to resist to buy something new at the beauty department.
Picture

At the corner of Place Vendome you will find the most popular macaron shop, Ladurée. It's like stepping into cake wonderland while the rich, sweet smell hits you at the entrance.

Walking along the Seine in the historic center is always such a bliss. The mood is set, you are surrounded by stunning architecture. Grab a drink and enjoy the view!

The Montmartre is the bohemian area with cozy streets. Here you can walk in the footsteps of such famous people like Van Gogh and Picasso. Place du Tertre is the picturesque square where artists sell their goods, I love its vibrant atmosphere, it feels like you are in the middle of an open-air gallery. Visit the white church, the Sacre Coeur, that overlooks the whole city. If you soaked the artistic atmosphere already, start walking down the little streets in order to find some more precious places to discover.

While approaching the down part, you will bump into lots of cool restaurants and not to mention a special Café, where the film, Amélie was filmed. It's called Cafe des Deux Moulins, you will find it at Rue Lepic really close to Moulin Rouge.

It was my first time visiting the Jewish Quarter, Le Marais. Hotel de Ville is housing the city's local administration, right behind this fabulous building you will find the district full of restaurants, local shops and cafés. Stroll the streets and discover the best Falafel places in town!
Picture

My favorite part of Le Marais is Place Des Vosges with its pretty fountains, red brick buildings and art galleries. Victor Hugo used to live here, but his house is right now under construction. I discovered some hidden, green gardens with little Cafés. That was the best part of Paris to me.

Eating out like a Parisian - Foodie's playground

I must say that food is everywhere in Paris. During my stay I discovered some really cool places, let me share with you some of the best ones! I started my day with a typical French breakfast at Cafe Les Antiquiares close to Musée d'Orsay. This is all you need on a sunny, spring morning: freshly squeezed orange juice, crispy croissant, bread with butter and coffee. The place brings back the old French atmosphere with its charming, rustic furniture.
Picture

There are two great areas where you can have a wide choice of food in the city. Close to Notre Dame you will find the Latin Quarter and the other one is the Jewish District. I picked a restaurant in the Jewish area, Les Philosophes was a classy, local brasserie with French menu offers and great wine selection. I never tried Beef a la Burgundy style (Bœuf Bourgignon) before, paired with French red wine makes a culinary bliss. The juicy beef felt apart so nicely on the plane, it made a perfect match with the steamed vegetables and potatoes. Creme Brulée is the classy desert you cannot miss while you are in Paris.
Picture

If you are looking for a nice place with live music for dinner, just behind the Panthéon there are lovely brasseries packed with young Parisians. Les Pipos was recommended by my friend, Orsi, who lives in Paris for a long time now. The place is not fancy or posh, but welcoming and cozy. Food is superb at a reasonable price. I chose duck with potatoes accompanied with Chinon wine from the Loire Valley.
Picture
Picture
If you are hungry while you are strolling the streets of Montmartre, drop by the little restaurant Le Rendez-Vous Des Amis. After the crowds of tourists it felt great to sit down in a quiet area. Grilled cheese and salad was an light choice for lunch.
Picture
Picture
For snacks during daytime try the famous crépe with salty or sweet filling, you can buy it nearly every corner. The other French treat is cheese of course. With a nice glass of French wine or champagne you will feel like a Parisian for a day.

Our charming Airbnb flat

With my sister we are big Airbnb fans. We found this little flat close to Le Defense, this is the business district with modern buildings and tons of offices. The place is safe and quiet. The fully refurbished flat was all you could wish for a weekend. Terrace, big living-room, comfy beds and the location was perfect too. You are just a few metro stops away from Champs Elysées.

No wonder why the city is so popular among travelers. If you have the chance, go and explore this stunning place. Be a Parisian for a weekend!

Winter photos - What you caught on film is captured forever.

You know how much I love photography, capturing and freezing that special moment. This winter was so beautiful at the countryside. Here are my pictures on snowy and moody days, winter sunsets and nature. Let's say goodbye to the cold season with these shots! The photos were taken in Borsod county, in the forest of a small village called, Tomor.  I also took some shots at my father's vineyard in Ládbesenyő. He inherited the grape plantation from his father and right now he owns a little less than 1 hectare in Northern Hungary. To me, his wine is exceptional and represents a great quality.

I originally come from this region,  I was grown up here, so let me show you around! Photos are not filtered.

Molnár Judit, az It’s YOUR World alapítója folyamatosan képes megújulni. A legkülönfélébb élményprogramokkal várja azokat, akik szeretnének minőségi időt eltölteni, igényes társaságban. Rendezvényei ma már országszerte ismertek. Judit, saját kreatív személyiségéből adódóan rendkívül színes palettát kínál, a művészettől, a borkóstolásig, parfümkészítő tanfolyamtól a szinkron programig, minden esemény egyedi és megismételhetetlen a maga módján.

Finom reggeli várt ránk 9 órakor a MEMO Házban. Maga a helyszín lenyűgöző, elegáns környezet, tágas teremmel és kényelmes kialakítással.

Picture

Picture

Pintér Marianna Judit vezetett be minket ebbe a különleges világba.

A vállalkozás speciális élelmiszerek tervezésével is foglalkozik. Ebéd után a Szeretetszalag mozgalom képviselője, Tarnai Tímea mutatkozott be. A szeretetszalag a legtisztább érzések kifejezésére szolgál, a személyre szabott üzenetek kinyomtathatók, ezáltal időkapszulába zárt tartalmak, szintén kedvelt eleme a céges rendezvényeknek.

Utolsó előadónk Simon Zsófia, a Holnap Ott A Bor exkluzív boráruház tulajdonosa.

Anna egyedi módon ötvözi a stand-up és bűvészet műfaját, lenyűgöző egyéniségével országszerte emeli a különböző rendezvények színvonalát.
Picture

A modellek  cipőit a Chalany, prémium minőségű cipőmárka biztosította. A divatbemutatón a MAYU táskáit is szemügyre vehettük. Maga a márka a fenntartható luxust képviseli, minden egyes darab halbőrből készül. Bevallom, ez a természettudatos koncepció teljesen magával ragadott. A kollekció klasszikus és időtlen, alkotóját, a fiatal és ambiciózus Mayura-t – a természet és Izland inspirálta.  A modellek sminkjét Safarcsik Adrienn készítette, a hangsúlyos, füstös szemek és letisztult vonalak tökéletesen harmonizáltak az elegáns ruhákkal.

Az egész nap jó hangulatban telt, a bemutatkozott szakemberekkel biztosan találkozunk még több It's YOUR World rendezvényen, de szolgáltaásaikat mi magunk is igénybe vehetjük akár céges, akár privát kereteken belül.

Sisters in Milan - One-day trip before Christmas

12/19/2018

What's the best Christmas gift if not a flight ticket? We decided to spend a day with my sister in Milan. There are always some great deals by Wizzair, you can catch the early morning flight from Budapest and return back late evening. If you are lucky, the ticket will be under 50 EUR, which is pretty incredible for a return flight. Amazing day Italian style and so much fun - Read our story below!
Picture
Picture
We arrived to Malpensa airport and took a train to Milan center. It was 13 EUR one way and it takes about 40 minutes to get there. It was time for breakfast, 9 am, fresh croissant and real Italian cappuccino - The best start of the day!
Picture
The world-famous Scala was closed due to performance, but next time I will definitely visit it inside. We had a short walk in the Brera area, which is a laid back, artistic side of Milan. Finally we took a metro to Navigli Grande. Day pass costs 4.50 EUR, really worth the price if you are eager to discover the whole city. Navigli is my favorite part, the little canal with pretty, colorful houses. Buzzing place full of restaurants and bars. It's an area not to be missed. We had a nice lunch in Trattoria Al Capolinea, a traditional, Italian place, very much loved by the locals. Pizza and Focaccia was heaven!
Picture
Picture
Picture
Picture
The rest of the day we spent in the heart of the city. From the Terrazza Aperol we had an amazing view of the Dom and the square. Perfect sunset - winter mood - gorgeous architecture, we had it all!

Picture
Picture
Picture

As soon as it got dark, we couldn't wait to check out the Christmas lights. The market at the Dom is a nice one, you can buy handcrafted goods, taste cheese and wine, not to mention the typical Italian sweets like cannelloni.
Picture
Picture
Picture
Right next to the Dom square you can walk into the most fashionable, iconic place in Milan: Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. The oldest shopping mall of Italy, it's housing designer shops like Gucci and Prada among others. The place is the ultimate symbol of luxury all around the world. The Swarovski Christmas tree was very impressive!
Picture
Picture
Picture
Picture
It was time for Limoncello and Tiramisu, so we stopped by at Caffé Camparino inside the gallery. Elegant, posh place for a short break.
Picture
Picture

When in Milan, go for shopping!  Via Monte Napoleone is an upscale fashion street, where all the major designer brands are located. It's the place to be for fashion lovers, just have a walk and admire the elegant boutiques! For Zara, H&M and other fast fashion brands visit the Corso Buenos Aires!
Picture
Picture
Picture
We quickly had a look at the shops and before heading to the airport, we had an "aperitivo" at Ristorante City Life  close to the Central Station. Aperitivo is very popular in Milan, it dates back to the early centuries and it means that your drink is always accompanied by some snacks: cold cuts, little pizza pieces, salad, cheese and so on.  One thing is sure, you  won't leave the place with empty stomach. We payed 8 EUR for food and a glass of Chianti wine. Just look at those dishes!

Even though it was a tiring day, it was worth every minute of it! We feel so blessed with my sister, because we explored this magical city together.

I arrived to Parndorf Outlet on a snowy, winter day with a list of Christmas gifts. I knew there would be a huge selection of goods, I was hoping to buy everything within a few hours. I was in desperate need of a new coat and I also wanted to look for a decent necklace for myself. I love this outlet, it's so well-organized and tidy, it's only a 2-hour drive away from Budapest. They usually have good bargains and great deals. Come and look around with me!

Ready - Steady - Go

Before Christmas everything is so crowded, be prepared for that, however if you go on weekdays and you arrive for opening, you have a better chance to avoid the madness. I can't complain, I was lucky this time. Visit the homepage, check out the latest sales and have an idea on the directions, so you won't get lost!

Picture
Picture

Winter mood, the gorgeous, colorful buildings and the sparkling snow was pretty amazing. I usually do shopping here two - three times per year, every time it's a pure bliss, like a relaxing day off.

Picture
Picture
Picture

Christmas decoration was elegant and stylish, I loved the little market corner, where tiny, wooden houses set the festive mood and you could enjoy punch or mulled wine. The whole place is about having a good time while shopping.

What I bought in the outlet?

I never ever checked out Escada before, but trust me, it's worth dropping by! Great quality, classical pieces, amazing materials. Finally I bought my dream coat there, the original price was 600 EUR and I managed to buy it for 200 EUR. What a great deal!

I was looking for a simple, delicate necklace in Pandora, but finally I've found the perfect one in Freywille. I also chose a scarf there, matches so nicely my new coat. Mission completed!

Parndorf Outlet, Good-Bye for now! Being here was a pleasure again, Plus I arranged most of my Christmas shopping too, all in one, just within 4 hours. See you next spring!

The city of Nice is beautiful and special all year round. Busy and full of life during summer time, cozy and still warm during autumn. Its the perfect time of the year to visit this seaside city, eat outside, enjoy the sunshine and do some shopping. French elegance is well-known world wide. Take your time and check out the stylish shops in the center!

Galleries Lafayette: Shopping Heaven

Whenever I’m in France, I always check out this place, they offer luxury brands and wide range of products. This is the finest department store, I’ve ever been. I’m so much impressed by the one in Paris, that’s just pure luxury and an architectural wonder. The store in Nice is pretty nice and huge as well, you can easily get around with the escalators.
Picture
Picture

I finally chose a scarf here, I loved the material and there were so many colors available. There are big sales in January and June. The store is located right at the Place Massena, which is the main square, you will spot the shop with its elegant arcades.

Shopping streets

From Galleries Lafayette start walking straight on Avenue Jean Médecin, this is where you will find such popular brands like Zara and H&M. I was very much fascinated by the shoes, I was checking out brands, that do not exist in Hungary. This is how I’ve found Eram: high-quality, leather shoes, stylish, classy pieces with a twist. I couldn’t resist to buy a pair of black ankle-boots with buckles.  In the Zara store I chose a dark blue chiffon blouse with beautiful details.

If you keep walking on the Avenue, you will find another shopping mall, called Nice Etoile. As soon as I walked in, I’ve found this amazing Pandora store. I’m obsessed with this brand, it reflects elegance, simplicity and style in all of their collections.  I bought a basic pair of earrings with the Pandora logo, very simple piece, perfectly goes with everything, I’ve been wearing it a lot since then.

Picture

Rue Paradis is close to the main square, its a fabulous street where you will find such prestigious brands like Max Mara, Chanel, Sonia Rykiel and many others. Luxury on top!

Picture

Rue de la Liberté was a cozy, nice street where I was checking out brands like Cosi for interior design, Mellow Yellow, Gant, Ecco and many more nice stores. I loved the atmosphere!

The best thing about shopping in Nice is that you can easily reach everything on foot, especially if your accommodation is on the Promenade des Anglais.  Have a nice walk and feel the vibes! I enjoyed my time so much, I'm planning to be back for a summer holiday. Please share with me your shopping experiences in the city and I will be happy to check out some more stores next time.

Insider guide to shopping in Italy – Check out the coolest outlets with me!

10/18/2018

I’m back from Italy, I had such a fun time in Venice and I also spend one day with shopping. It was my first experience in Italian outlets, I just couldn't wait! Before I left Budapest, I checked my wardrobe and I prepared a list of stuff I really need for fall - winter season. I prefer classy, timeless pieces, that I are versatile and I’m able to wear it with many different things I already own. Invest in pieces you can use for many years!  Let me share with you my experiences in these two  fabulous outlets in Italy.
Picture

Palmanova Outlet - the chic shopping village

It’s a relatively small outlet close to Trieste, since it was on my way to Venice, I dropped by for about 2 hours. The place is stylish with Italian touch and has a pleasant atmosphere. It does not feature big brands like Gucci or Prada, it’s mainly focused on more affordable Italian and international brands like Tommy Hilfiger, Guess, Adidas, Benetton, GAP, just naming a few. You can check the full list of shops HERE. I love Italian style, that’s so effortless and chic, I got inspired by the place, pure joy!
Picture
Picture
Picture

There are coffees and small restaurants, where you can grab a drink or a slice of pizza if you need some energy. Two hours were enough to look around, try things on and have a drink. The place might be not bigger than a normal shopping center, but since it looks like a pretty village, it’s more pleasant to walk and shop here.

Picture

I’m showing you my favorite item I bought in Palmanova: it’s a pair of brown Blumarine sunglasses with delicate golden details. Classy, elegant and perfect for my face shape. I basically wear sunglasses all year round, these are like touch of luxury to me and a brown pair goes perfectly with the rusty and nude autumn basics that are so trendy nowadays. Since I did not have a pair in this shade, it was definitely on my list and I was glad to find it. You can shop here great quality on a reasonable price.

Noventa di Piave Designer Outlet
- Heaven for shopaholics

This designer outlet is close to Venice, its an elegant, luxurious and well-organized village with beautiful fountains, lots of flowers and pretty buildings around, worth a whole day visit since it’s enormous. You will find all shapes, colors and sizes here, latest trends, beautiful designer pieces. The place can be crowded during weekends, try to go on Thursday if you can or Friday morning can be fine as well.
Picture

Big brands are all available here like Gucci, Prada, Tommy Hilfiger, Guess, the Armani shop was huge.
Picture
Picture

I’m so much into Italian brands, I love high - quality leather, shoes and bags, but who doesn’t? One of my favorite brands is Furla with its chic, timeless design. I was astonished by the huge variety of bags in the outlet, I couldn’t resist this beautiful piece, that will occupy a special place in my wardrobe. Simple, elegant, sophisticated! This is my dream bag for fall.

For lunch we had seafood and pizza at the Restaurant Farinella, we loved the place, nice food and excellent wines.

Shopping with friends in Italy was so much fun, we will surely be back one day! They have great sales before Christmas. You can also combine shopping with a short Venice visit, pure bliss! I’m also planning to check out Parndorf Outlet close to Vienna! Join me if you like to know more about shopping and style all over the world!

Versatile outfits - Fall transitional looks

9/12/2018

Autumn has arrived, even though we still experience lots of sunshine, mornings and evenings are chilly. When a new season starts, we do a big switch around in our wardrobe. Here is some help, how to be chic and trendy this season. I'm so excited about all the upcoming trends and new collections! For more fall fashion inspirations and outfits visit: www.uandstyle.com/fashion.

One bag - Three outfits

I'm styling here a timeless Tory Burch bag from the new season's collection. Such a great investment piece: classy design, outstanding quality, basic color.

Diva look

The first outfit is all about this unique dress from Christopher Kane, fur is appearing as a special detail, it makes do whole look more fall-like. Pumps are from the always fabulous Oscar De La Renta collection: modern pattern, casual shape, wooden heels. The whole look is really sophisticated and smart.

Day to night

This is one example of how to wear one outfit in two different occasions. If you are working all day but you have a friend's birthday to attend in the evening, it's a great solution for that. Leather jacket is such a basic piece during the transitional seasons. The dress still has some summer mood on.

Throwback: Summer moments in the Hungarian countryside

Natural beauties - postcard perfect landscape - peaceful atmosphere. I'm showing you the face of Hungary, you've probably never seen before. I collected all my snapshots I made in the countryside this summer. I'm also featuring Northern Hungary, the region I originally come from. All photos are taken by One Plus 6 phone and they are not filtered. Enjoy!

Northern Hungary

I spent most of my summer in Borsod county, the place where I come from and even though I love living in Budapest, returning back to my region is priceless: magical fields, forests, peace and nature all around.

Lake Balaton

If you read my posts regularly, you know that I'm so fond of the "Hungarian sea", our beloved Balaton. This region has a lot to offer: a gorgeous lake, volcanic soil, delicious wine, it's the new gastronomical heaven of Hungary. Enjoy the sunset and the special snapshots taken by me this summer!

Venice Lake

It's one of the warmest lakes in Europe, a very popular holiday destination and only one hour far from Budapest, however it's not as well-known as Lake Balaton. I spent a long weekend in the region in June. Velence Korzó is a cool place, where you find sandy beach. You can also spend your day cycling around the lake. Definitely worth a visit!

Are you ready for your holiday? What's your dream destination this summer? Before heading to Costa Del Sol in Spain, I collected the most beautiful holiday heavens for you. There are so many breathtaking places in the world, from those I visited so far, I made my personal Top 5. Let’s reveal them now!

Nr 5 Doha - Qatar

While visiting the region, I had a relaxing afternoon at the Katara beach. My first impression was that it’s very tidy, nicely organized beach with lots of restaurants. It’s also perfect for a morning jog or just grabbing a cup of coffee. The Katara village is the center of cultural programs, so you can combine relaxation, beach life and some music if you wish. Definitely worth visiting, once you are seeking for relaxation in the dazzling city!

Nr 4 LA - Santa Monica beach

Endless ocean, blue sky, long, sandy beach – It’s an iconic place in the USA. The beach has a very nice, laid-back atmosphere, the Piers is a popular meeting point. Baywatch was filmed here. Look at my sunset shots! More on my LA visit HERE!

Nr 2 Capri - Italy

Such a beautiful, inspirational place: hidden little beaches, breathtaking view, Italian lifestyle. Discover the island by walking or renting a boat!  It’s among the top places in Europe, so exclusive and special, I’m sure I’ll be back one day. More on this dream island HERE!

Nr 1 Barbados

What else would be my number 1 if not a Caribbean island, Barbados? I spend here 2 weeks. The nature and the beaches are stunning, people are sweet and extremely nice. The sea is wild and mysterious in the North, long, sandy beaches are typical scenes in the South and the world’s top pink beach is also located here. Caribbean lifestyle is something, that everybody needs to experience once in a lifetime.
